BMSCE to host Melton Foundation Symposium from August 25th to September 2nd, 04

Once each year, usually in September, members of the Melton Foundation come together for a seven-day symposium. These symposiums are hosted by one of the participating universities, on a rotating basis. At this time the Workgroup sessions are presented; business meetings of the Board of Directors, Task Teams, Melton Fellows, and Alumni are held; and participants become better acquainted with one another through informal encounters and also through planned cultural and recreational activities.

This year and for the third time, BMS College of Engineering, in Bangalore, India, will host the Melton Foundation Symposium.

The symposium will take place from August 25th to September 2nd, 2004.

The Countdown Started(06/17/04)

Welcome to the 13th Annual Symposium of the Melton Foundation to be hosted by the BMS College of Engineering in Bangalore starting August 25th, 2004.

We are sure everybody is eagerly waiting for the biggest event that happens in the MF – SYMPOSIUM. Here at MF-BMS we realise this and are constantly striving to make this the greatest moment one has ever experienced. The various tasks involved in organising such a mega-event have been equally divided among the several committees that we have formed. There are certain working guidelines that all the committees adhere to and ensure that tasks are completed on time.

Though the task at hand is huge, we at MF – BMS are completely enjoying this challenging process and are making considerable progress in this regard. An example of one such moment is the Weekend-Seminar that we guys organised during March 21-22. It was an occasion that involved lots of brain-storming and planning for the symposium, along with fun.

MF-BMS is gearing up to make this the greatest symposium ever!

Prasanna Pattanashetti,
Symp2004 Coordinator.
