IAA to work with all Departments and some guidelines on what can be done. IAA needs suggestions from other members.
Hello IAA members and BMSites and BMS Students,
All of you have seen what information is on the website of BMSCE for each Department.
Now as IAA we need to make sure all information for each Department is made available to Prosepective Students, Parents, Current Students, Alumni’s, Companies and others.
Each one of you need to take this task and complete it. It is a pain to get the information fro the college. IAA needs to do that. IAA will also help each committee members. and guide them.
IAA needs to have people in IAA members in Bangalore involved, current Students from 8th, 7th and 6th Semesters involved in the committee. This makes life a little bit easy to do this task. I ope this works.
IAA needs to have all the contact information for all the persons involved in each Department.
IAA needs to have things going on with each Department.
IAA to study the needs of the Department in areas of Subscription to TECHNICAL JOURNALS, etc.
IAA can think of Instituting a scholarship on merit cum need basis.
IAA can give or arrange for professional lectures to students.
Each Department needs to provide list of how many intake for the year, how many ranks, how many passed, how many got jobs through college Placement office, how many went for HIGHER studies and other things. All this can be on the college website or IAA website. IAA needs to decide on this. Let us see how it works.
IAA to assist current students in availing project facilities.
IAA to assist in arranging National Seminars / Symposiums at BMSCE.
IAA to assist/suggestion to Departments on improvement and other things.
These are some of the things , I am thinking. We all know that we can’t do all of them. Let us try to do the easy ones first and then tackle others latter.
All of you can come up with your own way of doing things for the Department. IAA wants to listen to all of you.
IAA is planning to do these for all Departments at BMSCE.
IAA needs help from all.

WHY DO IAA NEED THIS ?
Volunteer: It is IAA members interest in working with that particular department and develop certain programs with that department as a committee of IAA.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
This was started in one of the meeting of IAA. In Bangalore’s meeting some IAA member took incharge of contacting particular Departments. The focus of this meeting was predominently how to go about the process of spreading awareness regarding the exisetence and activities of BMSCE IAA among the Departments in the college.

Where an individual or a group takes care of financial needs of a professor or department. IAA needs to workout the formalities on this.
This will make the HOD’s and Professors feel that IAA is concerned about Department needs and not just blaming them for everythign that went wrong.
This also helps in the process of communicating with Depts. and BMSCE IAA.
The dialogue that will be been initiated by IAA with the BMSCE Departments will further strengthen BMSCE and make it a better institution.
It would make BMSCE Dept, Students, and IAA to participate in organizing major national or international scientific conferences in Bangalore.
